With a year level motto of “Evidence of Effort and Pride”, the
focus for Year 5 is developing leadership qualities in preparation for Year 6
responsibilities. Students are provided
with opportunities to enhance personal qualities and growth through playground leadership
roles, participation in the Prep Pal program, inter-school sports days and
entrance to a variety of senior musical experiences, including Stage Band and Senior Choir.
Learning in Year 5 is enhanced through differentiated grouping
and a variety of incursion and excursion experiences. Students are guided in their pursuit of
excellence through mindfulness activities, the setting of personal goals and
the development of skills required to achieve success and ownership of
independent learning.
