In
Year 2 students continue to build upon the foundations of reading, writing and
number with the support of individual learning goals, which cater to the
strengths and needs of all students.
We focus on developing effective and
healthy learning habits through fostering and encouraging autonomy in a safe
and supportive learning environment. Our inquiry-based learning encourages
students to ask questions and solve problems in different ways, allowing them
to become their own teachers.
In all Key Learning Areas, students are
encouraged to become global participants as their learning extends to the wider
community and investigating the world around us. They learn about our
connection to places, both locally and worldwide as they attend an excursion to
Stradbroke Island, and culminate their learning about countries around the
world at our Cultural Day celebration of learning.
