To begin the enrolment process, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Submit an enrolment enquiry
Complete our online enrolment enquiry form to register your interest in enrolling your child at Ormiston State School.

Our administration team will review your enquiry and contact you regarding the next steps.
Step 2: Eligibility review
Our administration team will review your enquiry to determine eligibility under our school's Enrolment Management Plan.
Students whose principal place of residence is within our catchment are entitled to enrol, subject to verification of residency and applicable enrolment requirements.
Out-of-catchment enquiries will be considered in accordance with our Enrolment Management Plan.
Step 3: Complete your enrolment application
If your child is eligible to proceed, our administration team will contact you and provide instructions for completing the Department's enrolment application form.
An enrolment package will also need to be collected from the office.
You will also be asked to provide supporting documentation to confirm your child's identity and residential address (see Supporting Documentation section below).
Step 4: Application and document verification
Once your completed application and supporting documents have been received (see Supporting Documentation section below), our administration team will review and verify the information provided.
We may contact you if additional information or documentation is required.
Step 5: Enrolment interview and confirmation
Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to arrange an enrolment interview.
This is an opportunity to meet with a member of our leadership team, discuss your child's individual learning needs and share important information about our school.
Following the completion of the enrolment process, we will confirm your child's enrolment and provide information about the next steps.

Supporting documentation
As part of the enrolment process, families will be required to provide documentation to verify their child's identity and principal place of residence.
Please have the following documents available when requested by the school.
Proof of identity and date of birth
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- Australian citizenship certificate
- Visa documentation (if applicable)
Proof of residential address
One primary document:
- Current lease agreement
- Rates notice
- Unconditional contract of sale
AND one secondary document:
- Driver licence
- Utility bill
- Internet account
- Bank statement
Documents must demonstrate the student's principal place of residence.
Additional documentation may be requested to verify enrolment eligibility.
