We are so very happy that you will be joining us as a Prep student in 2010. So that we can get to know each other a little better, you and your parents/carers are invited to Ormiston State School’s Library to enjoy a morning of activities at school with your future fellow classmates, their families and the Prep Teaching Team for 2010.

Where: Ormiston State School Library and the surrounding grass areas (Building close to Gordon Street with a grey corrugated iron wall) – please come to school via this entry as we will have name tags for the children to collect and wear at this location)

Time:9.00 am (for 9.05 am start and welcome) – 11.00 am

Who to Bring: Each Prep child must be accompanied by an adult, younger siblings are most welcome.

What to Bring: Hat, picnic morning tea (bring a picnic blanket to sit on the grass), a special bag to hold the things that you make), a big smiley face and your best grown up school manners.

Extra Information for Parents and Carers:
The purpose of the morning is for your child to have an enjoyable experience at Ormiston State School prior to entering Prep in 2010. At the same time, we offer you the opportunity to:

•Try on and purchase your child’s uniform,
•Meet members of our wonderful Parents and Citizen Committee,
•Participate in self-directed, self-paced activities (there will be activities set out for you and your child to do together – book mark making, reading, drawing, computers, games etc),
•Meet the 2010 Prep teaching team,
•Order or purchase uniforms.
•Collect your very important Ormiston State School information pack,
•Meet other Prep students and their families in a friendly and welcoming environment and
•Enjoy a small picnic lunch at your own leisure and discuss having lunch at school.
